Two People Hospitalized After West Knoxville Crash
Knoxville, TN (December 16, 2020) The Knoxville Police Department reports that two individuals were hospitalized on the morning of December 16th following a crash at the West Knoxville Cracker Barrel. Law enforcement reports that a pickup truck crashed into a camper that was parked in the restaurant’s parking lot on Park West Boulevard. The driver of the pickup truck is reported to have experienced a medical emergency while he was in the truck with his foot on his gas and ended up losing control of his vehicle. Due to the collision, a camper caught fire. Fortunately, two people inside the camper were able to escape. One person inside the camper, however, was transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center for treatment of a minor laceration. The pickup truck driver was also brought to the University of Tennessee Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
