Motorcyclist Killed and Two Children Injured After Highway 394 Crash
Bristol, TN (January 2, 2021) The Bristol Tennessee Police Department reports that one motorcyclist was killed and two children were injured after an accident occurred on Highway 394 on the afternoon of January 2nd. The motorcyclist was traveling east on Highway 394 before colliding into the passenger side of a sports utility vehicle whose driver was attempting to cross the highway on White Top Road. A 2-year-old child was air-lifted following the crash to Johnson City and a 4-year-old was taken by ambulance to Bristol Regional Medical Center. The adult drivers of the sports utility vehicle who are the children’s parents were injured in the crash. Additional details about the crash are still pending an investigation.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found that the number of motorcyclists killed in crashes dropped to 4,985 in 2018, which marked a 5% decrease.
