Cumberland County, TN (April 7, 2021) The Tennessee Highway Patrol released a report on the morning of April 7th following a car crash that occurred on Highway 217 North at Grace Hill Drive in Cumberland County. The report states that a young driver’s vehicle was struck by another, which led the driver to be transported by helicopter to Erlanger Medical Center for treatment of injuries. The accident victim was later released from the hospital. After law enforcement investigated the crash, it was determined that the driver had provided false information and that his motor vehicle was the only one involved in the crash. Charges are subsequently pending against the driver.

Cumberland County saw 1,260 car crashes in 2020 including 939 accidents involving property damage only, 301 crashes involving injuries only, and 20 crashes involving fatalities. If you or a loved one is involved in a Tennessee car crash, it can be tempting to lie about how the accident occurred. Remember, however, that distorting details about your claim can ultimately end up impacting the amount of compensation you receive from insurance carriers or in a court of law.
