Weddington is believed to have been driving east on Murphy road in a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox when he crashed into the pedestrian victim at the intersection of Shannon Valley Farms Boulevard. Weddington’s Equinox is reported to eventually have “come to a rest in the roadway” and he was arrested. He now faces criminal charges. The pedestrian involved in the drunk driving car accident, identified by the Tennessee Highway Patrol as 65-year-old Alexandre Azarenok of Tennessee, died at the scene of the accident.
