Cumberland County, TN (September 10, 2020) Cumberland County law enforcement recently responded to an accident on Peavine Road close to Weigel’s involving a vehicle that struck a pedestrian. A law enforcement report shows that the pedestrian involved in the crash experienced injuries but was responding to emergency treatment. Additional details about the accident including further information about how the crash occurred as well as the names of the people involved are still pending. The accident marks the sixth pedestrian struck by a vehicle in Cumberland County so far in 2020.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in its most recent study found that in 2017, approximately 137,000 pedestrians received treatment in emergency rooms for nonfatal crash-related injuries.
