  • Oak Park: In June, 2024, riders of the AtmosFear attraction at the Oak Park amusement park in Oregon were left suspended upside down in the air when the ride malfunctioned. Riders of the AtmosFear were left hanging upside-down for approximately 30 minutes.
  • Universal Studios: In October, 2016, two Universal Studios-goers were injured when an e-cigarette exploded on the Hogwarts Express amusement park ride. The victims of the accident were a 14-year-old girl and a male park patron.
  • Cedar Point: In June, 2015, two individuals were injured by the Flight Deck ride at Cedar Point theme park in Ohio. A maintenance worker was hit in the head and critically injured by a moving theme park train, and a passenger of the ride also sustained serious injuries to the hand and leg.
  • Six Flags: In 2008, two young male theme park patrons entered a restricted area of the Batman amusement park ride to retrieve a lost hat. One of the male patrons was decapitated by a passing train used for the ride.
